We were in Valencia for 4 days, although we would have preferred to spend at least 3 months in this wonderful city.
Sun, sea and a lot of calm, all the opposite of Milan, the city where we live. Valencia is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities. In this article we will see the 10 things to do for free in Valencia or anyway spending few euros.

We personally have been to playa de la Malvarosa, which you can easily reach by means (both bus and tram), and we found ourselves very well.
It is a crowded but spacious beach, so there is always a space where to put towels.
The otherย recommended beaches are: La Patacona and platja de Les Arรจnes.

2. Visit the historic center of Valencia

Every big city has its historic center and if you come here you can’t miss the number two of the free things to do in Valencia.
The Historic Centre is very nice, with a beautiful fountain in the center and you will always find a couple of street artists, also if you get hungry know that you are not far from Aloha Burger and The Vurger, two of the best vegan places in town!

Barrio Del Carmen is one of the most fascinating districts of Valencia. Thanks to airbnb we had the luck to stay right in the middle of it.
This Barrio besides being a reference point for street art lovers is also an excellent solution for shopping or tapas during the day while at night it becomes a must for a funny evening.

4. Shopping at the Central Market

It will seem strange that a station is part of this list, but you must know that this building is an example of valencian modernism. All you have to do is pretend to have to catch a train.

This children’s park has come to life from Jonathan Swift’s story “Gulliver’s Travels”, you will remain speechless in front of the huge construction that depicts Gulliver who will make you feel a real lilliputian.
Once you arrive at Parque Gulliver, you can also make a tour in the gardens of Turia.

If climbing 207 steps doesn’t scare you, then El Miguelete tower does for you. Where is it?
It’s the bell tower of the cathedral of Valencia, from which you can admire the most beautiful view of the city.

P. S.: It’s not free, but it costs only 2 Euros!
